CampusBookRentals Pays It Forward With Operation Smile

Facial deformities such as cleft palate and cleft lip are not often talked about, but both are significant medical conditions that can be corrected with quality surgical care. Did you know that every 3 minutes a child is born with a cleft? In many countries these children are left without any medical treatment, some die before their first birthday, and others are unable to properly eat, talk and socialize. Operation Smile cares deeply about these children, and since 1982 they have provided over 200,000 free surgeries to children with these facial deformities. Their efforts are largely carried out by volunteers and with generous donations from private and corporate supporters.

One such supporter is CampusBookRentals, a textbook rental company for the frugal college student. With CampusBookRentals students can save 40-90% off bookstore prices and enjoy free shipping both ways! CampusBookRentals works with all types of rental periods and students are allowed to highlight in their textbooks! If a student decides that they would like to keep the textbook at the end of the rental period, all they have to do is pay the difference. This is basically a risk-free book rental program. Their website is easy to navigate and answers all of the basic questions. The best part? A portion of each purchase/rental goes towards Operation Smile!

CampusBookRantals also has a program for students who are looking to rent their books out to other students. RentBack is SUPER easy to use, just type in the ISBN number of the book and they will tell what they think it is worth. They offer free shipping labels to use to send the books in, and each time a book is rented, the book owner gets paid! I just found a box of college books from 12 years ago that I wish I had made some money off of instead of moving them a hundred times!

If you are a college student looking to save or make some money, or know one who is, I think you will really get a lot of use out of these services!

  2. Not only would this have been a HUGE benefit when I was in college, but I’d have loved to know I was helping support Operation Smile at the same time. I love that Campus Book Rentals offers a great program for students and is willing to give back to those in need!
