This is a fun and easy color sorting activity that can be done with one child or multiple children. And it does not have to be Legos, it can be and set of “things” that has multiple colors in it!
First, we wrote one color on each piece of blank paper (with a marker of matching color) and spread them out on the floor.
Then we dumped out the Legos and sorted them by color by placing each piece on the correct piece of paper.
Here comes the fun part! After all the Legos were sorted we built little towers with each color and at the very end we used all the “mini” towers to build one giant rainbow tower! It was a fun challenge to try and get all the “mini” towers to fit together like a puzzle.
