Homemade Coffee Creamer

Did you know that the delicious, sweet, delectable coffee creamer that you buy from the grocery store is usually non-dairy and full of all kinds of crazy ingredients that are impossible to pronounce?!? Well it is true my friends, and while I have to admit that we still buy it  (I love the seasonal flavors!) I am also making it at home. It is super easy and the flavor combinations are endless!

This recipe will make about 1 cup of creamer, if you keep your old store-bought creamer containers, you can rinse them and store the homemade stuff inside :-)

Here is what you need:

1/4 C. sugar

1/4 C. water

1/4 t. cinnamon

1/4 t. almond extract

1/4 t. vanilla extract

1 C. half and half

Here is what you do:

Heat the water and sugar over medium-low heat until the sugar has completely dissolved, allow to cool.

Pour “simple syrup”, half and half, cinnamon, almond extract and vanilla into your storage container and shake well.

Pop it in the fridge for storage and give it a good shake before each use.

I think that it tastes like a cinnamon roll, but you can buy lots and lots of extracts and flavors in the baking aisle of your grocery store to make lots of yummy varieties!
