I have been slacking a little bit on my weekly Revolt Fitness updates, so I am combining weeks 9 and 10 by talking about the theme of both of those weeks: the dreaded plateau. I began my journey with Revolt by completing a one week sugar detox, and by the end of week 7 I had lost 13 pounds. Here I am 3 weeks later, at the end of week 10, and I have yet to lose any more weight. How frustrating! Or is it? Thank goodness for Nichole Huntsman (founder of Revolt) and all of her knowledge of fitness anomalies. In each “Uprising” Guide she includes information about what kind of weight loss you can expect weekly, and how building muscle can skew the numbers on the scale. Lucky for me I read the Uprising Guide and I don’t just rely on my weight. Each week I also measure my waist and this has been the most useful tool for me. I have been steadily losing inches off my waist through this entire process. I am currently down 3.5 inches, with an inch of that coming off in the last 2 weeks! Yay! If you are in the process of getting fit, make sure that you are measuring your success in more than one way! Nichole also suggests used calipers to measure change in body fat. Stay tuned for updates for weeks 11 and 12, as well as my Revolt Round-up at the very end!
I have been chosen as a Revolt blogger, in exchange for weekly updates, I was provided the program for free.
