*Big sigh.* How much money did you spend on college textbooks? Yah, me too! RIDICULOUS! I actually have college textbooks in storage, I guess I just spent so much money on them I couldn’t bare to part with them! I wish I had known about CampusBookRentals.com when I was a broke college student. With CampusBookRentals.com you have the opportunity to “rent” the textbooks that you need for the semester, and then send them back!

Here are some of the perks:

~ Free shipping both ways

~ You can highlight in the books

~ Save 40-90% off of bookstore prices

~ Flexible rental periods

~ Large selection of books

~ 30-day risk free returns

Here is how it works:

As if that weren’t enough to perk your ears up, with each textbook that you rent, a donation will be made to Operation Smile. Operation Smile provides cleft lip surgeries for children whose families could not otherwise afford it. CampusBookRentals.com has been donating to Operation Smile since 2011, so you can feel good about not only saving money for yourself, but helping others in need.

So what if you are sitting here reading this post, and you have a mountain of textbooks behind you that you have already purchased?!? Have no fear, RentBack is here! RentBack is a new program that CampusBookRentals.com has rolled out that gives textbook owners to opportunity to make money (2-4 times more than selling used) by renting out their books to other deal-savvy students.

Do you feel relieved? Excited? A little bit richer? Well you should. You learn something new every day! So college student (or mom and dad of said college student), head on over to CampusBookRentals.com and get started on saving money now! Now if only they could come up with a program for tuition rental…

  1. I think renting textbooks for school is such a great idea. I know that EIU used to do that. I wish that the college I attended did it. Texbooks are so expensive and when you go to sell them at the end of the year you get virtually NONE of your money back. It is crazy. This is such a genius idea.

  2. Blah, text books only keep getting more and more expensive! I love how this works! I’ll have a son going in a few years so I’ll have to keep it in mind!

  3. I spent SO much money on text books in college. I remember at the end of the semester when we would line up to sell them back to the bookstore (to sell as used the next semester) and being disappointed in how little I got back. Renting would have been a much better option!

  4. I remember how expensive books were in college, this sounds like a great idea to rent. I have some friends that have kids going into college and I will have to share with them.
