Several months ago, Hubby and I made a decision to make a more conscious effort to provide a healthier lifestyle for ourselves and our children. We began a fitness program that has yielded almost  pounds of weight loss between the two of us, as well as buying loads more produce and incorporating vitamins and supplements into our diets. Unfortunately we live in a region that does not have any “health food” stores nearby, and the selection of supplements is slim at the grocery store. Thank goodness I found Vitacost, an online marketplace whose motto is to “take the cost out of healthy living.” The kind folks at Vitacost let me pick out some things that I wanted to try for my family and a few days later I had a box waiting for me! Here is what we tried and what we thought:

Probayo Acidophilus and Prebiotic Vitacost Price $14.89

Probayo

Quick Facts:

~ Supports healthy digestive system and immune response in children

~ Free of sugar, gluten, nut, dairy. Also kosher and vegetarian

~ 2 billion live active cultures

Our thoughts:

OK, my kids loved these. They are so stinking cute, they look like little white chocolate teddy bears. Both the girls were impressed with the taste. One said, “Mmmmm, tastes like chocolate!” and the other “Thanks mom!” Hubby and I are always looking for things to help our oldest stay “regular” since it is something she has struggled with since birth. So far I do believe the Probayo is helping.

Vitamin Friends Multivitamin Gummies (Grape) Vitacost Price $7.79

Multivitamins

Quick Facts:

~ Supports healthy development in children

~ Free of nut, dairy, gelatin, egg and soy. Also kosher.

~ Don’t stick to teeth!

Our thoughts:

These are the favorites at our house. I never have to remember to give the kids their vitamins because they ask me every day! Actually I’m pretty sure that they think it is candy that they are eating at breakfast every day, but who am I to spoil the fun?!? It is 100% true what they say, these gummies do not get stuck in their teeth! Yay! A daily multivitamin is most definitely on our list of must haves, and at less than $8 for a bottle of 90, these are an amazing deal!

Essential Men’s Daily Packs Vitacost Price $27.49

Mens Daily

Quick Facts:

~ Individually wrapped daily packets include with 4 capsules

~ Multivitamin: 21 vitamins and minerals plus antioxidants

~ Purified Omega-3 fish oil: 1200 mg of purified, odor-less fish oil

~ Saw Palmetto extract: helps to support a healthy prostate

~ Magnesium Ultra: helps to support bone and cardiovascular health

Our thoughts:

For Hubby, the convenience of these packets is the absolute best part. I can just throw a packet into his lunch box every day and he knows exactly what to take. It is also nice to know that someone else has done the research and knows what specific supplements a man needs to support his healthy body to the fullest. I have noticed a significant increase in Hubby’s energy level since he started taking the daily packs.

Sensa Quench – Pink Grapefruit Vitacost Price $39.95

Sensa Quench

Quick Facts:

~ 30 individual packets to be mixed with water (12-16 ounce water bottle)

~ Increases metabolism and energy, to facilitate weight loss

~ Sugar free and low calorie

~ Contains Maqui berry (antioxidant), Green Tea and Vitamins A, C, D, B6 and B12

Our thoughts:

This one was mommy’s pick. I have seen all of those Sensa commercials and wanted to know what this was all about! I have to say, the Grapefruit flavor was not my favorite, but I did notice that after drinking just one a day for a week, I finally broke through my weight loss plateau. Yay! I think that if you are already exercising and eating healthy, this will help you to heighten your results!

Blum Naturals Make-up Remover Towelettes Vitacost Price $2.89

Blum

Quick Facts:

~ Made with natural and certified organic ingredients

~ 10 individually wrapped towelettes for convenience

~ Gently remove make-up and cleanse/rehydrate skin

Our thoughts:

Ooops, another mommy pick. I guess I got a little carried away! But with 3 kids and a busy schedule, I need all the help  I can get in the mornings! I absolutely loved these wipes. I have purchased lots of different kinds, and these are my favorite. The scent was so calm and soothing, and they left my face feeling squeaky clean, but not dry! I will be purchasing these in the near future!

As you can see, Vitacost offers lots more than just vitamins and supplements. They deliver quickly and are super easy to order from. Check it out!
